Fragomen Holds Immigration Breakfast Session

In partnership with the AAA, Fragomen hosted a free immigration breakfast session on 31 May on Global Mobility - moving employees between Australia and the US.

Immigration experts discussed the options, pathways and processes involved for sponsoring companies who wish to employ foreign nationals to Australia or to the US and employment law obligations for overseas employees.

AAA Launches Melbourne Corporate Programme Series

AAA, along with event host Invest Victoria launched its Melbourne Corporate Programme Series on 10 May. Guests, including US Consul General Michael Thurston enjoyed hearing of the corporate benefits available to VIC organisations. Additionally, Fellowship Alumnus Shaun Howard gave an enlightening presentation on his experience coming from the US to work with CSIRO.

AAA Treasurer Greg Medcraft Appointed to Chair ASIC

In a media release on 3 May The Hon Wayne Swan MP, Deputy Prime Minister and Treasurer, announced the appointment of Greg Medcraft as ASIC Chairman.

Mr Medcraft joined ASIC as a Commissioner in February 2009, taking responsibility for the oversight of investment banking, investment managers, super funds and financial advisers.
