Over 120 people weathered Thursday night traffic to celebrate the American Thanksgiving, at a buffet dinner hosted by the American Australian Association Limited at James Squire Brewhouse and Restaurant, Sydney last night.

It was a traditional meal with roast turkey, sweet potato casserole, green beans, stuffing, cranberry sauce, salads, ham, pork, and of course, pies; apple, pumpkin and pecan, with lashings of fresh whipped cream.

Guests purchased raffle tickets to win airfare and accommodation to Melbourne or Brisbane, courtesy of AAA Ltd Gold Corporate Member, ShowGroup. Door prizes were 2 authentic baseball jerseys, courtesy of Major League Baseball, and 2 cases or Budweiser, courtesy of Coopers/Premium Beverages, AAA Ltd Gold Corporate Member and a principal sponsor. Each guest received a new card game from Andrew Walsh of Winning Games, called PlayStates.

Fox Sports kindly provided highlights from the 2009 Super Bowl, which was projected on the screens for the guests to enjoy.

Guests included US Congressman James Sensenbrenner (R-Wisconsin) and his family, Tom Nicholson, CEO of Major League Baseball/Australia and his family, members of the AAA Ltd Board of Directors and Association members.

The chef and all the staff at James Squire Brewhouse and Restaurant, Sydney outdid themselves preparing the meal, which was enjoyed by all. The Association thanks all the sponsors who provided prizes and gifts for this event.
