The event was hosted by James Squire Brewhouse & Restaurant, Docklands VIC.

US Consul General Michael Thurston and Bill Fisher, Victorian State Director of DFAT joined about 70 Association members and guests of Major League Baseball for the invitation-only event celebrating America's favourite pastime, baseball.

Peter Moylan, relief pitcher for the Atlanta Braves attended the evening, along with Tom Nicholson, Director of Major League Baseball International (Australia) and his staff.

The event was broadcast on ESPN via live feed.

Guests were treated to American hotdogs, hamburgers, 'french fries', Budweiser beer, courtesy of Premium Beverages, and of course, baseball. Everyone attending received a gift bag full of  authentic 2009 World Series apparel.

The Association's World Series Party is in Sydney on 29 October and is by invitation-only.
