Mr. Geoff Gray returned to Australia in 2007 to take up the position of Executive Director. His prior appointment was Senior Trade Commissioner based in Washington DC.

Mr. Gray had many international postings with Austrade. His 14-year tenure in the United States included 3 years as Consul General in Atlanta, 3 years in New York managing food and wine marketing programmes in the United States, and 4 years in Washington DC. He has a wealth of knowledge on bilateral trade issues.

Mr. Gray made a major contribution in seeking trade outcomes from the Australia-United States Free Trade Agreement (AUSFTA).
